Denis joined Close Thornton in 1983 having already qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1976. Initially he worked for the then Head of Conveyancing Ralph Barton before stepping into that role himself in 1995. He oversaw the creation of the Close Thornton Property Shop and was instrumental in Close Thornton attaining the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme in 2011.

Outside Interests
Denis has 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren all living locally. He does not have
much spare time, but when he does he enjoys walking, gardening and keeping fit.
