Close Thornton Property Shop Celebrates Five Years

Release date: September 2004

Close Thornton Property Shop is celebrating its fifth birthday. The firm based at Duke Street, in Darlington, set up its Property Shop in 1998 to provide a comprehensive property service for buyers and sellers.

The local firm is part of the national chain, Solicitors Property Shop, and offers homebuyers and sellers all the services they need for their move under one roof. Its 8 strong property team handles every aspect of the transaction including estate agency, valuations, property insurance and mortgage introductions, as well as performing its traditional legal role.

As a Solicitors Property Shop, they are also governed by the same Law Society regulations that govern the legal side of their firm whereas normal estate agents have no regulatory body; this gives clients peace of mind.

Pauline Robertson, Property Shop Manager, who has been there from the start, commented: “We believe that we offer something unique. We combine all the services you need to sell a house under one roof, offering both estate agency services and conveyancing. This means you only have one point of contact, ensuring your sale progresses quickly and efficiently with no confusion between estate agency and solicitor.”

“ With our in-house legal team, we can offer advice to a seller from the outset, therefore avoiding any issues which might otherwise arise. Once we have found a buyer we can also prepare all the documentation more quickly so the whole process runs smoothly.”

Pauline went on to add “The first 5 years in our dedicated property shop have been tremendously successful and we look forward to the next 5 years by continuing to help local people sell their homes quickly and efficiently”.
