| CLOSE THORNTON HELPS IN RAISING FUNDS FOR LOCAL CHARITIES |
|
Release date: July 2009
The staff of Close Thornton recently took part in the inaugural Tees Valley Vantis Corporate Challenge. Over a period of three months, our staff participated in a number of fundraising events organised by Malcolm Woolfe, with the aim of raising as much money as possible for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice and Hartlepool & District Hospice. Using an initial £50 contributed by Vantis, the firm, amongst other events, raffled off a giant Easter egg, and utilising the culinary baking skills of Janet Bowerbank, Anne Murray and Christine Mclay, enjoyed a delightful office lunch.
Malcolm Woolfe commented that "the Challenge was well received within the office. Not only did we help to raise much needed funds for two very worthy local charities, but it also gave us the opportunity to bond and spend time together that ordinarily would not have happened".
