The temporary 'First Day Marketing' rules, which allowed homes to be marketed without a HIP, providing a commitment was made to get one within 28 days, have ended. The HIP must be completed before the property can be marketed.
Secondly, from 6th April 2009, vendors need to complete a Property Information Questionnaire (PIQ).
The minimum documents that are required to market a property are:
- index
- the new Property Information Questionnaire (PIQ)
- Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) or a Predicted Energy Assessment (PEA)
- sustainability information (for new homes in England only)
- sale statement
- evidence of title
